If only all Mondays could start this way – while I was watching a highlight reel of Mike Tyson’s greatest knockouts my Twitter feed started exploding. Since it was early Monday morning, I cared little, I was almost asleep and I’ll deal with it in morning. Deal with this?! One of the most anticipated releases of 2015, the brand new LP from Kendrick Lamar To Pimp A Butterfly, dropped a week early.

Featuring the likes of George Clinton, Sufjan Stevens, Thundercat, Pharrell Williams, Flying Lotus, Bilal, Snoop Dogg, amoung others, the production credits reads like the roster for the 1993 NBA All-Star teams – classic producers that are still making their mark.

Questions have arised this morning as to the marketing strategy regarding the early release, and according to Top Dawg Entertainment CEO, Anthony Tiffith, Interscope “fuck[ed] up our release”.

UPDATE: As of 12:30pm EST, the album has been pulled from iTunes and now is only available as a pre-order. There’s little word as to it’s future status on Spotify, so get a free early listen to it while you can.

Update 2: As of 12:46pm EST, Anthony Tiffith is working to get it back on iTunes ASAP.

Update 3: As of 12:47pm EST, This release is a hot mess and it’s great!
