ABOUT LAUREL
Hailing from England, alt-rock singer, songwriter and producer LAUREL creates eerily beautiful music. Best defined as chamber pop, which is a style of rock music characterized by an emphasis on melody and texture, the intricate use of strings, horns, piano, and vocal harmonies, and other components drawn from the orchestral and lounge pop of the 1960s, her music is peculiarly refreshing — not your typical pop song.
Critical acclaim has appeared from a multitude of blogs, becoming a mainstay on the hype machine chart, voted Teen Vogue’s artist to watch and picking up support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 2, 6 music, Beats 1, Spotify and awarded Apple Music’s very first New Artist of the Week along side Radio X’s Top 20 artists of 2017. She’s also been touring across Europe and the UK relentlessly with her drummer Sam Roux and supporting Oh Wonder, playing for Burberry and for House Of Vans Sessions.
In 2017, she released her Spotify Sessions EP, ‘Dogviolet’. The debut album from Laurel is out on August 24th, 2018 via Counter Records.
