ABOUT Maître GIMS
French rapper and producer Maître GIMS aka Gandhi Djuna is not only a solo artist but also a member of the groups 3e Prototype and Sexion d’Assaut. Being the son of vocalist Djuna Djanana, GIMS was always surrounded by music growing up. His first solo single was released in 2006; however, it wasn’t until May 2013 that he released his first solo album, ‘Subliminal,’ which was aided by the chart-topping success of the single “J’me Tire.” He followed up with two albums including, ‘Mon Coeur Avait Raison’ and his latest 2018 release of ‘Ceinture Noire,’ which reached #1 on the French charts for eleven weeks. His music combines a nice mix of hip-hop, pop, and reggae. Recently, he dropped a single titled, “Corazon” ft. Lil Wayne & French Montana.
