The New Jersey born artist has emerged as a bonafied contender in the soul and pop genres with the release of his new album Nine Track Mind.
He has transitioned from YouTube sensation to chart success with Whiz Khalifa on the Fast & Furious 7 soundtrack song, “See You Again.” Charlie has followed
up his impressive introduction with a duet with Meghan Trainor on his debut album single, “Marvin Gaye,” which has been certified double platinum. Other tracks
on the album worthy of a listen are “One Call Away,” “Some Type of Love” and “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” where he sticks to the formula of teaming up with an already established artist in Selena Gomez. The track is a mid-tempo groove that features his smooth falsetto vocals that blend effortlessly with Gomez’s simple, but effective
delivery. This 3rd single from the album should continue to establish Puth as a serious challenger with other soul-pop contemporaries.
