The holiday season maybe behind us but that hasn’t stopped Jack White from delivering something special. Third Man Records – White’s own label – will be releasing some early material dating back to 1998-’99 i.e. before the White Stripes really got going.

The 3LP set contains live performances from three pre-White Stripes bands: Two Star Tabernacle, The Go, and Jack White and the Bricks. While none of these bands are the White Stripes, they do play early versions of White Stripes songs, including “Hotel Yorba”, “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground”, and “You’ve Got Her in Your Pocket”.

The set also includes a 7” vinyl for the recent Dead Weather track “Let Me Through“.

It should be noted that before you go racing off to your local record store, you can only get all of this through a Third Man Records Vault subscription. The deadline for this package is January 31st.

Take a listen to a snippet of Jack White and the Bricks play future White Stripes classic “Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground” below, then below that, take a listen to the version we all know and love.
