Ben_Frost

The guy has done a ton of weird, interesting, and different stuff. From directing his a stage adaptation of the Iain Banks novel The Wasp Factory to co-producing Colin Stetson’s experimental saxophone album New History Warfare, Volume 3, the Icelandic, Australian ex-pat Ben Frost has completely given up on anything related to a piano or guitar and turned completely to synthesizers for his latest album A U R O R A.

The imagination and unhinged feel that Frost expresses throughout A U R O R A creates something innately physical which stands out completely from the rest of his work.

On top of being one of the most fascinating experimental musicians of our generation this record seriously opens up the listener to the beauty of growth, decay, and devastation.

Really a great record!
