Alt-Funk-Punk-Bop-De-Bopper-West-Coaster-Dads, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have just released a video for arguably the best track off of their recent LP (and in years), The Getaway.
The new single, “Go Robot”, had been slated to be the album’s lead-off single, though lost out to “Dark Necessities” at the last minute. Despite that, the band has released the up-tempo track now. The dance-y video is admittedly influenced by classic Disco movie, Saturday Night Fever, with the music video’s Director, Tota Lee, going on to say that the video even “features the exact same locations used in the film”.

I guess that’s kind of cool.

Regardless, enjoy the “Go Robot” video below and just try to sit still.
