Los Angeles-based artist, Ramsey, is in the process of completing her 10 song album slated to be out later this year. One of the first releases is the obsession laced single “See You Bleed”. Bone-chilling, dark, sad and sensual are just a few words that can be used to describe the gothic, trip-hop artist’s latest releases that have garnered over 2 million views on Soundcloud. Using even the most diverse and amplified adjectives would be putting her into a confining space that she dares not to be in. Call it what you want; ambient, experimental, or electronic-pop with trippy productions that push the limits with gripping intensity and temptation. Ramsey composes, produces and performs all of her material which may attest to the raw emotion and vulnerability that is glaringly apparent. She’s often compared to Glass Animals, Portishead, and Phantogram and you can clearly hear the influence of Massive Attack as well. Ramsey is ramping up for a series of pre-release shows spanning the West Coast, which includes the upcoming August 26th performance at the Mint in Los Angeles.
