For when you’re feeling social

It’s odd to hear so many ideas mashed together at the same time, all of them at least being really freaking good. It may run a little long (72+ minutes from start to end) so depending on when you start it off, you may only get through one listen this weekend, but I decry you to start this one on repeat very early – as a matter of fact start it now. Sukierae is one of those records that, upon repeated listens, provides the listener with a new favourite part.

This is the first solo outing by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, so being supported by many indie-rock pro-stars and his teenaged son Spencer on drums (aka the luckiest kid in the world) Sukierae has a very distinctive sound that eventually reveals itself to be completely engrossing. It’s a lot to take in, but well worth it.
