We’ve been waiting for this one, and it dropped on Friday. The new Wintersleep album The Great Detachment was released on Dine Alone Records, and it’s a gem.

The songs vary in style and mood, from the My Morning Jacket-esque opener “Amerika”, and vocoder-infused vocal on “Santa Fe” (as previously posted in Playback), to the pop anthem (and personal favorite) “Shadowless” or the straight ahead, guitar driven “Territory”; The Great Detachment still manages to be a cohesive, and full album start to finish.

You can listen to the whole album, courtesy of the band and Excaim! Music.
