Wintersleep dropped a new single on Friday in advance of their upcoming album, The Great Detachment. “Santa Fe” is a big, banging rock anthem, complete with sing-along chorus and ripping guitars. Interestingly, the production takes a page from the Daft Punk playbook on the verses, layering the vocal with octaves through a vocoder. The Halifax band has had good success in Canada, but they might just have a breakthrough single that propels them into a bigger spotlight.

The album was recorded live in-studio at Halifax’s Sonic Temple with the help of producer Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebasitan, Mogwai) and is due out on March 4th. Check out “Santa Fe” below…
