Smoking way too much, acting crass, crude, and generally disrespectful in their own specially endearing way – Mac Demarco and his band recently toured China, Austrailia, British Columbia, and Brooklyn being followed by the capable cameras and direction Jon Leone. The result was an abstract and completely absurd look into the psych-pop world of Mac Demarco and what seems to be his hilariously contrived, yet amazingly sincere views on life, love, food, travel, culture, and above all, music. Produced and distributed by PitchforkTV the documentary entitled “Pepperoni Playboy” follows Mac Demarco’s stellar release Salad Days which dropped towards the end of March 2014. If anything, it’s a funny way to send a non-soccer related World Cup afternoon.
