It’s been half a decade since Anthony Gonzalez put out an album and his fans have been impatiently waiting. However, some of them seemed to be less than pleased when they received something very unlike the previous albums. I think my favorite description I read was “Gonzalez sounds bored”. Well, I’d have to disagree. I like this album, a lot. Yes it stirs away from the normal sound of M83, but I think its a good switch up. As an artist you have to mix it up sometimes. “Junk” is a connection to Gonzalez’s french heritage, being influenced by french sounds of the 70’s and 80’s.

My favorite track of the album is called “GO!”, and features Mai Lane.
