The Nashville-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lillie Mae has been writing, recording and performing since she was a very, very small child. She currently has a claim to fame as being the fiddle player in Jack White’s backing band but after becoming a new addition to Thrid Man Records in 2014 she premiered today the her first single for the label, “Honky Tonks & Taverns”.

Taken from her upcoming release Forever And Then Some Lillie Mae delivers an amazingly polished and upbeat track. The rest of her band, as a matter of fact, is her own brothers and sisters as the whole family lends a hand and play instruments on the release. Mae shared a little background on the release, saying:

“Honky Tonks and Taverns” is about the way I once was, the dreams I had, the mistakes I made, and the people I’ve known that disappeared. Although they didn’t just vanish, they all still live on in memory… in the valleys and caverns, honky tonks and taverns.

Forever And Then Some is due out April 17th via Third Man Records
