Kelis has managed to carve out a 20 year music career with her R&B, Funk, Soul, Afro Beat, Neo Soul sound. We all remember her 2003 hit “Milkshake”, with the accompanying frisky video. Kelis is back on the scene from her 2014 album release of “Food” with another project.

A brand new cookbook titled “My Life On A Plate”. As my pops used to say she can ‘burn’. A certified chef from Le Cordon Bleu cooking school, Kelis has written a book she describes as a collection of recipes that look at how food and music intersect. Drawing from her Puerto Rican heritage she also spans the globe with delectable dishes from Asia and South America.

“My Life On A Plate is available on Simon and Schuster.
