Almost 30 years after the untimely death of a man who is still known today as the greatest bass player who ever lived, Jaco Pastorius will finally be remembered in the first official documentary about his short and tragic life. Jaco was an innovator and a visionary, and every bass player today has him to thank for bringing the bass guitar out of the background and into the spotlight.

The film was directed by Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, and features interviews with Flea, Joni Mitchell, Sting, Herbie Hancock, and many other music legends. It also features unseen footage from the Pastorius family archives, and previously unreleased Jaco recordings.
