M.I.A. took to Zane Lowe’s Beat I radio show on Wednesday to share her new single “Foreign Friend” from her upcoming release A.I.M., due out September 9th.
Featuring Dextra Daps, M.I.A. spoke to Lowe about how their professional relationship began. While in the Caribbean visiting friends the singer said that the kids in the area were telling her that she needed to work with Daps. “I just wanted to do something that would make my friends happy,” she said. Hence the name, “Foreign Friend”.
