Rock and roll veterans Def Leppard have announced they have a new album on the way. The band’s first self-titled full-length (& 11th overall), comes more than 30 years into their career and 7 years since their last album (2008’s Songs from the Sparkle Lounge). Frontman Joe Elliot explains that a 14-track album wasn’t the initial plan.

“We got together to see what we had with maybe putting out a three track EP in mind. All of a sudden we had twelve songs on the go, and two more would come just a few weeks later.”

The singer also declares the album’s first single, Let’s Go, as “classic Def Leppard” as well claims it “could also be the long-lost cousin” of the group’s biggest hit, Pour Some Sugar On Me.

Take a listen to Let’s Go below and judge for yourself.

Def Leppard is out via Bludgeon Riffola / earMUSIC Records on October 30th.
