Aussie Courtney Barnett and Philly’s own Kurt Vile joined forces over the weekend to collaborate in studio. Over the past few years few indie acts have had more success than these two, and it seems like fans will soon have the opportunity to hear what it sounds like when the two of them get together on a track (or two).

Vile is currently making his way through Australia in support of 2015’s LP b’lieve i’m goin down… but still made time to drop into Newmarket Studios in North Melbourne to record with Barnett on her home turf. As reported by Triple-J, the two spent a week together working with in-house engineer/producer Callum Barter.

Thanks, Courtyyyy. And #meeniyantownhall xo cyas soon @courtneymelba photo: @mistletone
