English artist, Charlotte OC’s rise to fame has been a slow steady burn. She first hit the scene in 2011 with her debut single, “Treasure Island”. In 2013 she signed with Stranger records and after two EP’s under her belt, she is finally ready to emerge from behind the shadows of similar artists Lana Del Rey, Lykke Li and Banks. With influences like Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Aretha Franklin and Alicia Keys, her music has been described as soulful pop with a dark side. Her latest single, “If My House Was Burning” from her third soon to be released EP “Burning“, showcases melodic vocals and haunting rhythms with a touch of gospel-tinged house music. She continues her rise to the top with an impressive video for the single that solidifies her place among today’s rising stars. The single is now available on ITunes.
