In a note posted to Facebook, the synth-pop duo of Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly announced today that they will break up after playing a run of shows this spring.
“It’s been an incredible 10 years as a band, and it blows our mind to be able to say that every goal we had when we started recording in 2006 has been accomplished. We’ve been lucky enough to have the sweetest, coolest, most loyal fans an artist could ask for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts …”
The band itself is three albums old. They’re most recent “Moth,” came out in January and found it’s way to #26 on our Top 50 Albums of 2016.
