Avril Lavigne has returned with a new single, the first release in five years! The track, “Head Above Water” appears to speak of the pain she’s been battling with Lyme disease. Avril has been very vocal about the condition that has gravely impacted her life.
According to CBC News, Lavigne said she wrote all of the songs for the new album in her bed and on the couch, and recorded there mostly as well. She worked with musicians Travis Clark and Stephan Moccio on the first single.
