The electronica darlings and dynamic duo Aluna Francis and George Reid, better known as simply AlunaGeore, have released their latest singles entitled “Mean What I Mean”, featuring artists Leikeli47 & Dreezy. “Mean What I Mean” is a fun catch summer song, that rides off the success of the current Tropical House wave sweeping across the radio.
George produces a wonderfully bouncy and bendy beat, featuring a prominent plucky bass, adherent to the famous “Show Me Love” bass sounds. While the beat follows a traditional dancehall root, the chorus also displays some bendy horn melodies that really make the track stand out against other tracks within the genre.
“Mean What I Mean” is another solid entry in the AlunaGeorge catalogue, and one that definitely has radio potential.
