Jade Bird is an alternative singer-songwriter hailing from London, England; she released her debut EP Something American in 2017 which was in the making for quite some time. She reveals that the inspiration behind her writing came from her life experiences. Barely a teenager, she learned to play guitar and started writing her own lyrics,eventually settling into an intense song-a-day pace. The process sharpened her chops and shaped her approach to songwriting.
I would compare her sound to the likes of Melissa Etheridge, Patti Smith and Jewel. Her latest single, “Lottery” has a classic rock vibe. Check out the video below!
